Credit Union Successfully Migrates to the Ultradata Credit Union
Solution
Big River Credit Union (Big River) has opened
its doors, and conducted ‘business as usual’ on Monday
morning, 7 March 2005, after successfully migrating to the Ultradata
Credit Union Solution over the weekend.
Being the first live site utilising the services of
Co-Processing (CoPro), the Big River migration ran as scheduled.
Big River and CoPro’s enthusiasm in the entire migration has
been extensive and very valued.
Ultradata’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Henshaw,
stated that “Big River Credit Union
is the second IDPC site to go live, and we have been pleased by
the efforts made by all involved. Their continual efforts in delivering
this undertaking, and to ensure a smooth and successful outcome
have been commendable.”
Big River’s Chief Executive Officer, Graeme
Green, said, “The conversion went very,
very well with no significant problems. Both teams worked tirelessly
to ensure the best outcome possible could be achieved, and it was.
All staff were up and running by opening time on day one. We had
several minor issues throughout the day but fortunately these did
not impact on member service. Most issues were rectified by the
end of the day which enabled finish to be run successfully.
Any concerns that were identified during the project
were overcome due to the great support we received from all parties,
as and when necessary. I feel the key to our successful conversion
was the extent of our planning and testing, along with staff commitment
to ensure its success. The best advice I could offer credit unions
converting to the Ultradata Credit Union Solution in the future,
is do their planning well and test, test and test some more. Also
ensure that you allow a reasonable timeframe which is achievable
and suits all parties”.

- Guaranteed (TSW), who facilities manage the CoPro installation
and provide credit unions with IT consulting and support, said
"that a great deal of co-operation and professionalism between
the Big River, Ultradata and TSW staff ensured that the conversion
proceeded with minimal disruption to credit union members or staff."
The Ultradata Credit Union Solution is a powerful
engine for improving member service capabilities. Using the solution
to drive business process automation is an important feature of
the solution, capitalising on the benefits of a fully integrated
and member centric system. The ultimate focus is on the members'
experience with Big River.
To date, Railways Credit Union, Maroondah Credit Union
and Big River Credit Union, all part of the Early Adopters Program,
have helped pave the way forward for other credit unions moving
to the Ultradata Credit Union solution.
