Credit Union Reflect on their Migration to Ultradata
Railways Credit Union have reported that their
conversion to the Ultradata Credit Union Solution went better than
expected, with the project being delivered on time and 30% under
budget.
Debra Burden, Railway's Chief Executive Officer said,
"The conversion went smoothly - we did not lose a single account
or transaction, and our members had the ability to do their banking
from day one.”
“I believe that our conversion to the Ultradata
Credit Union Solution was the easiest conversion option. One of
the main reasons for this being the fact that the skill sets for
both the Ultradata and CorvisFCS solutions all reside at Ultradata.
Another being that our staffs’ knowledge and skills gained
from many years of using the CorvisFCS system were not lost, as
many programs within Ultracs are similar to CorvisFCS. This was
an important factor following the actual conversion and gave us
the ability to continue servicing our members at the level they
and we expect.”
The Ultradata Credit Union Solution is a complementary
suite of software and services providing a low-risk, core banking
system that incorporates transactional banking and deposit taking;
loan origination and management; member contact and management;
financial management and decision making; sales & marketing
management; payments and arrears processing; and electronic statement
generation.

Internet banking, Web lending, phone banking, ATM, branches, agencies,
and Australia Post (GiroPost), the Ultradata Credit Union Solution
will give Railways Credit Union various avenues to build convenient,
and effective communications with their members using an all-in-one
solution.

processes within the solution, such as the ability to track events
and forward tasks to other staff and departments is very good, and
has received positive feedback from staff,” said Mrs
Burden.
The Ultradata Credit Union Solution promotes strong
relationships with members. When asked by industry peers to compare
People and Relationships (the member contact and relationship management
portion of Ultradata’s solution) to Railways’ previous
CRM system, Mrs Burden is clear. “When
people ask how do the systems compare I tell them that you can not
really compare the systems as People and Relationships is far more
than a CRM system. People and Relationships - is the CRM system
together with the mechanism to move around the entire Ultradata
solution plus a work flow tool.”
Railways Credit Union has also found that Ultradata’s
loan origination and management solutions, allows them to do more
than they could in their previous system.
Mrs Burden commented, “we
have seen real process improvements in this area and, we are still
looking at how we can improve this further.”
Railways are now focusing on business process improvement
to maximise the effectiveness of the solution.
