The next generation of Mobile Phone Banking software is launched – and it's Australian made

Ultradata Australia officially launched our mobile banking solution today to the Australian financial marketplace.

The demand by consumers to access their banking details online using a browser on their mobile phone is growing at a phenomenal rate in Australia and around the world.

Fuelled by the launch and consequently amazing popularity of the Apple iPhone - and a range of competitors wanting to keep up – everyone now expects to be able to do their banking in the the palm of their hand, anytime and anywhere.

Whilst Australia’s largest banks have grappled with just how to deliver their online services on the small screen, many of their competitors now have the advantage, with the release of a mobile banking solution from Ultradata.

The Ultradata solution caters equally well for the iPhone as it does for a range of other phones and browsers – including those using Windows and Nokia - and delivers more services to the handheld than virtually any other application. Customers can view account balances, perform transfers internally or to others, pay bills or request a call or email from their institution at the touch of a button.

Uniquely, the new mobile banking service also includes the option of second factor authentication using the services of the Australia Post and VeriSign VIP authentication network – the same one that supports eBay and PayPal second factor security.

Ultradata is a key retail banking technology supplier in the Asia Pacific financial services market and this latest offering positions the company as one of the very best software developers in the world.

With the mobile solution completely integrated into a customer's banking experience for the first time, services such as bill payments, transfers (single and regular) and even address changes and tax information requests can be delivered seamlessly.

With live installations already in place, notably at Community First Credit Union, Ultradata is set to roll out its mobile banking solution to institutions throughout the Asia Pacific region over the next six months.

“Community First believes that Ultradata’s Mobile Banking solution is the best mobile banking application on offer in the Australian marketplace. The application looks amazing, is easy to use, and most importantly provides a range of security options to protect our customers’ accounts. Take-up of this service by our members is expected to be significant.” said John Tancevski - CEO of Community First.
