Loan Origination

A range of options are provided for loan application data entry. This will allow you to select the best means for your business both now and as your business strategies evolve:

  • A call centre operator, or staff member of your lending team, entering a loan application directly into the loan origination solution (or from a hardcopy application) while talking with a customer.
  • A customer entering a loan application via the web.

As all delivery channels are integrated in the lending solution, staff, business partners and customers all see the same information, regardless of how they are accessing it. This allows for effective communication, and helps to build stronger relationships with your customers.

A range of features are available to complement the product offerings. To name a few, these include the ability to split components of a loan (e.g. part fixed rate, part variable rate), offer transactional capability (e.g. card, cheque book and internet access), offset a loan with a savings account, and provide a redraw facility via channels such as the web.

Loan Management

Being completely integrated, you can review all loans in progress at any time. From the time a loan is settled, until the loan is fully discharged, the solution manages all loan servicing tasks.

Debit and Credit Card


Ultracs provides a fully functional interface with the various switch providers to enable the institution to offer full Debit and Credit Card Services to customers including the options of interest free grace periods and multiple statement cycles. Online maintenance of card ordering, supply, activation and replacement is standard, with institution based parameters to give the opportunity for you to personalise your card programs.

Finance, General Ledger and Treasury

One of the core strengths of Ultracs is total data and system integrity, through an integrated general ledger system and related financials. The general ledger forms the core of the solution, and a range of controls such as validation and daily balancing ensure integrity.

General Ledger

You can define the structure of the general ledger to suit your requirements. A complete audit trail is incorporated. Subsidiary ledgers are balanced with the general ledger, and a trial balance is produced everyday. Reconciliations can be maintained up to the minute.

It can also facilitate cost centre or branch accounting by providing automatic general ledger postings at the branch/agency level. Alternatively, we interface to corporate general ledgers and will work with you to design a solution to meet your needs.

Accounts Payable

Manage creditor information, once-off and recurring invoices, credit note processing, enquiries and processing of creditor payments on the appropriate due dates.

Asset Registry

Efficiently record and process company assets. Assets may be split and subsidiary assets created. Comprehensive depreciation programs are also available.

Investment Portfolio

Manage your external investments, such as cash, bank bills, other wholesale borrowings or investments in government stocks or bonds. These external investments can then be included in management reports, the most important being the Cost of Funds, for the calculation of your operating margin.

Bank Reconciliation

Bank statement data can be received by electronic file transfer to facilitate bank reconciliations on a daily basis. This includes the ability to identify transaction types and process transactions to customer accounts as required.

This encompasses document creation, capture, storage, retrieval, access, search and delivery, enabling data pre-population onto forms or document templates. These forms and other documents can be delivered to customers via e-mail (or printed), and attached to client records for effortless future reference.

Documents supports any type of document or file type to be attached to a customer’s record – MS Word, MS Excel, PDF’s, videos, sound files and pictures. It is totally customer centric and forms part of the business process.
