As team manager of product delivery, Janice (“Jan”) La plays a pivotal role in shaping how Ultradata delivers technology solutions to financial institutions. Leading a dynamic team of project managers and product specialists within the Consulting Services function, Jan ensures every program aligns with Ultradata’s product vision and helps clients better serve their members.

From establishing frameworks that streamline implementation to leading complex, compliance-driven projects, Jan’s work connects strategy with execution turning goals into tangible outcomes.

A Career Built on Transformation

With more than 25 years’ experience across major banks and technology environments, Jan has become a trusted expert in large-scale digital transformation.

She began her career at ANZ as a software developer before moving into program delivery, where she:

• Delivered ANZ’s Covered Bonds Program under demanding regulatory deadlines positioning ANZ as the first Australian bank to launch the product.
• Spearheaded a $25 million global CRM rollout across 33 countries, driving agile project management and strong stakeholder engagement.
• Modernised ANZ’s mortgage infrastructure, integrating diverse third-party systems to uplift capability and functionality.
• Led a global counterparty-risk system overhaul at Macquarie Bank a critical initiative safeguarding regulatory compliance and securing its commodities-trading licence.
• At Giesecke & Devrient, directed multiple concurrent technology rollouts and process enhancements, including chip-integration programs for ASX-listed clients.

“These roles refined my ability to lead under pressure, navigate legacy and emerging technologies, and align outcomes with both regulatory and strategic goals,” Jan reflects.

Joining Ultradata

Seeking a broader platform for impact, Jan was drawn to Ultradata’s role to expand focus beyond program leadership to include leading and supporting a team of Project Managers.

“I wanted to work across a diverse client portfolio, build strategic relationships, and have a real voice in aligning strategy for the financial technology roadmap through to execution. What resonated most was the opportunity to lead transformation through people. I was seeking a role that combines program leadership with the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of Project Managers. I’m keen to create an environment centered on delivery excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
